  20. The Choice is a small Program Selector especially useful for Game Partitions
  21. of Harddisks (or SyQuest etc.).
  22. It allows up to 102 entries to be displayed on a PAL HiresLace Screen or 48
  23. entries on a PAL Hires Screen. All the Programms appear as Intuition Gadgets
  24. and can be easily selected by a Left Mouse Click.

  26. Installation is quite simply. Just place TheChoice in a path of your choice
  27. and create a config file.

  29. The config file has to be located in S: Directory and has to be named
  30. "TheChoice.config".
  31. The Contents of this file breaks down as follows :

  46. The <Name of Program> Text appears in the Gadget and the <executable script for
  47. Program> will be executed after selection of the appropiate gadget.

  49. That's basically all you have to know (Quite simply, eh).

  51. I also included the Source Code in this release, feel free to take a look at it.
  52. If you have any proposals or find any bugs then let me know. I would also like
  53. to hear some opinions about this little program so that I can see if there is a
  54. need in the Amiga World for it or if I should waste my time on something other.

  66.      - TheChoice now searches for the config script in S: rather than in Games:S

  68.        you have to execute after you started TheChoice

  70.      - Removed some beta code so the executable is now a bit shorter
  71.      - Removed the switch between PAL and NTSC because NTSC is not supported in

  78. I am currently planning the new version 2.0 of TheChoice. It will be entirely
  79. written in SAS-C and will automatically fit its window to the choosen PubScreen
  80. or creates its own one. The ModeID, Font and location of the config file can
  81. be choosen via tooltypes / shell-arguments.
  82. Don't expect this version before September '95 because I am going on vacation
  83. the whole August.
